What a wonderful celebration of community, creativity, autumn traditions, and everything that makes Armstrong Spallumcheen such a special place to call home!
From live music and hands-on workshops to scarecrows, local artisans, giant pumpkins, pumpkin catapults and our Family Day celebrations, the Harvest Pumpkin Festival brought people together to learn, laugh, create and celebrate the season.
And even a little rain (lol) couldn’t dampen our spirits!
A heartfelt thank-you to the many people and organizations who helped make it all possible.
🧡 Our funders and supporters: The Government of Canada, Askew’s Foods and Valley First Armstrong for financial support of our local Arts & Culture, Armstrong Kin Club for supporting our Giant Pumpkin Weigh-In and Pumpkin Catapult, and Armstrong Regional Co-op for providing gas cards for prizes.
🧡 Our community hosts and partners: Zion United Church, Farmstrong Cider Co., Armstrong Farmers Market, PV Blvd Coffee, Odd Fellows Hall, Village Dairy, Parks and Recreation, Bookish Collective, and the many local businesses and organizations who welcomed festival activities like Scarecrows in the Street and participants.
🧡 Our performers, artists, workshop leaders and artisans: Thank you for sharing your talents, creativity, knowledge and enthusiasm with our community. You brought so much life and variety to this year’s festival!
🧡 Our volunteers and behind-the-scenes helpers: From moving pumpkins and setting up activities to welcoming visitors, helping with workshops and cleaning up afterward, you were the heart of this celebration.
🧡 Our Scarecrows in the Street participants: Thank you for adding a little autumn whimsy to our community and giving families another reason to get out and explore! Voting continues until the end of the month!
🧡 Our amazing media and marketing team: Thank you for bringing the Harvest Pumpkin Festival to life through your creativity, storytelling, graphics, photos and promotion! From helping spread the word before the festival to capturing and sharing those special moments along the way, you helped connect our community to everything happening throughout the celebration. We appreciate all the magic you work behind the scenes!
And finally, thank YOU to everyone who attended, participated, cheered on the competitors, visited our local businesses and helped create so many wonderful memories.
The Harvest Pumpkin Festival is about more than pumpkins. It’s about community connections, shared experiences through arts and culture and celebrating the people and places that make Armstrong Spallumcheen special.
