Chamber asks IPE visitors to use designated fair parking

The IPE runs September 2 to 6, 2026. The chamber is asking fairgoers to use the designated IPE parking areas so downtown spaces stay open for customers, deliveries, and residents.

The Interior Provincial Exhibition runs September 2 to 6, 2026. The 125th IPE brings thousands of visitors to Armstrong. The Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce is asking fairgoers to use the designated IPE parking areas whenever possible.

Downtown businesses stay open through the fair. They rely on nearby parking for customers, clients, deliveries, and day to day operations. Keeping those spaces free means residents can still reach local shops, restaurants, services, and professional offices during one of the busiest weeks of the year.

“We love welcoming IPE visitors to Armstrong and we hope they will take some time to explore and enjoy our downtown while they are here,” says Kim Magarvey, President of the Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce. “At the same time, we’re asking fairgoers who are heading directly to the grounds to please use the designated IPE parking areas so that downtown spaces remain available for people supporting our local businesses.”

Check the parking map before you drive in

The chamber keeps a map of public parking during the IPE. A look at it before the trip saves a lap around town.

Paid lots sit close to the fairgrounds and show in purple. Local organizations run most of them, so the fee supports a school, the museum, or the Legion.

  • Armstrong Elementary School lot
  • Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Art Gallery lot
  • City of Armstrong pay parking
  • Accessible parking, with fees going to the Armstrong Legion.

Visitors are also asked to respect all posted parking restrictions, accessible parking spaces, loading zones, private property, and business parking areas.

Downtown businesses can print the sign

The chamber has a letter size sign for business windows. It asks fairgoers to use the IPE lots, explains why, and carries a QR code to the parking map.
