Privacy policy
This site collects as little as possible. Here is what it does collect, and why.
Who runs this site
This site is run by the Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce, based in Armstrong, BC. The Chamber is responsible for the personal information this site collects.
What we collect
When you email or phone us, we receive what you send.
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, to keep the site running and to prevent abuse.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages people read. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google.
The fonts on this site load from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to fetch them, which shares your IP address with Google.
Some pages show a YouTube video, a Google map, or a Google calendar. Your browser loads these from Google, which shares your IP address with Google and may set cookies.
Directory and candidate information
The business directory shows public business information, such as the business name, category, contact details, and website. Candidate profiles show the details each candidate gave us. To have a listing or a profile corrected or removed, email [email protected].
What we do with it
We use your details to reply to you and to provide what you asked for. We do not sell personal information.
Who else handles it
The companies that host this site and deliver our email handle your information on our behalf. Some of them may store or process it outside Canada.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as we need them to reply and to keep business records.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct it or delete it.
