Fall fun continues through October 12, with Scarecrow Trail voting, workshops, live music, and free Family Day activities at the IPE Fairgrounds this Saturday.

The 2026 Armstrong Spallumcheen Harvest Pumpkin Festival is in full swing, and there is still plenty of fall fun ahead! Celebrating its 26th edition, the festival runs October 2–12, bringing our community together for creativity, live music, hands-on activities, and giant pumpkins.

Make a plan with the complete 2026 festival program, explore the Scarecrow Trail, and join us this Saturday for Family Day.

Family Day is this Saturday!

Bring the kids, your friends, and your camera to the IPE Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 10, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Admission and family activities are free.

The Armstrong Farmers Market gets the day started early, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM in front of the Horticulture Building.

Family Day highlights include:

  • Giant Pumpkin Weigh-In: entries from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, with the winner announced at 11:00 AM.
  • Great Pumpkin Launch: trials at noon and competition at 1:00 PM.
  • DragonFly Make & Take with Marilyn Bridge: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Mini catapults with the Okanagan Science Centre, the Moo-Bile Dairy Classroom, live woodcarving and blacksmithing demonstrations, and plenty of crafts and activities.
  • Roving entertainment and balloon twisting with Stef Be Tuned, face painting, pumpkin cornhole, and a harvest photo op.

Start at the HPF Welcome Booth to meet Chamber volunteers, try the Candy Guess, and enter for an HPF Door Prize. Come hungry: food and treats will be available from Armstrong Lions Club, Shabbang, PV Blvd Coffee, and Black Sheep Baking Company.

Follow the Scarecrow Trail and vote

Eleven participating businesses and community locations have created displays for Scarecrows on the Street 2026. Explore Armstrong, pick your favourite, and cast your vote online.

Find all the numbered stops and addresses on the 2026 Scarecrow displays and map page, or download the printable trail map. The Scarecrow Trail event listing has more details, and you can read the voting announcement.

Support the Food Bank Challenge by bringing a non-perishable food donation to a participating display or to Family Day on October 10. You can also vote in person at the Chamber office or at Family Day.
