Jessie Valstar graduated from Pleasant Valley Secondary School in 2007 and worked at Askew’s from 2007 to 2012. He then pursued a career as an electrician, eventually starting his own residential electrical company, Valstar Electric.

Jessie is also a co-founder of Armstrong Metalfest, where he currently serves as General Manager. Through both his business and community involvement, Jessie has had the opportunity to work with many residents, contractors, businesses, volunteers, and organizations throughout Armstrong and the surrounding area.

After serving his first term as a Councillor for the City of Armstrong, Jessie feels he has gained a strong understanding of how municipal government works and what the role of a Councillor involves. He is looking forward to putting his experience, and his “sweet new skills,” to work for the community for another term.
