John Bakker grew up on a dairy farm in The Netherlands and moved to Canada in 1981. He came to Canada after finishing seven years of agricultural school in the Netherlands.
Later on, John worked in the oil industry for a few years, operating an oil tank car terminal.
While raising his family in Alberta, he also ran a commercial tree farm and restored old tractors.
When he moved to British Columbia in 2001, he got the chance to buy a business in Spallumcheen, which he still runs today. After proudly becoming a Canadian citizen, John has been on Spallumcheen council for eight years and is excited to have your support as he finishes some important projects that he started during his time there.
